EndoftheWeekReviewSeven

End of the Week Review:
This week has just been a fantastic week! Monday morning, I did not get to participate in Mystery Monday because I was driving back from Mississippi, but it was a trip well spent! Tuesday was one of my favorite days of being here. Adam Donyes gave us a relationship talk. Although I am not in a relationship, nor do I desire to be in one, it was still great to hear and have knowledge for the future. He asked us questions like: What is the purpose of dating? When should I date? Is it okay to kiss? What should I know about the opposite sex? He didn’t give us exact answers, but he gave us scripture and we formed a lot of our own opinions while hearing his Biblical based opinion. There are three things that are non-negotiable when searching for a mate. 1. If they do not love their master, they won’t ever be able to love you. 2. Often times the more we chase a relationship with others, the less we chase Christ. Our relationship with others should be an overflow of our relationship with Christ. 3. Relationships are meant to increase your relationship with the Lord, and not to decrease it. I love talking about relationships, and especially hearing wisdom from older, wiser counselors. Wednesday was Bible study, small group, and accountability like normal, which I always love! Last but not least, Thursday we heard from Andrew Munneke. He spoke on spiritual formation in contemporary culture. It was great hearing something other than the word “disciple,” and how there is much more that needs to be learned about being a disciple. My favorite thing was when we talked about how you are constantly being formed into an image. Good or bad, culture is determining your meaning, value, and identity. That is all for this week! I’ll write another blog in 2 weeks. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
